Coventry offices but remote working as an option Procurement Heads are thrilled to have partnered with a leading Housing organisation dedicated to delivering value for money and ensuring compliance with Public Contract Regulations. Managing £150 million in third-party supplier arrangements annually, our client ensures competitive advantage and exceptional service for customers and taxpayers alike. We are looking to appoint a dynamic and experienced Procurement Specialist within the Homes Procurement team to partner with Operational Leads and Quantity Surveyors on planned and reactive construction-based projects. Typically working on three large strategic projects at any given time, with values of between £3m and £10 million each, strong supplier management strategies are essential alongside accomplished negotiation and risk mitigation skills. Key Responsibilities Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to support delivery of Procurement objectives and the 2030 Strategy. Deliver sourcing initiatives covering the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle and work with main suppliers both in the UK and globally. Engage confidently with senior stakeholders. Work as part of a cross-functional team to deliver a range of projects including complex large-scale projects as well as smaller projects. Lead assigned sourcing initiatives, which vary in terms of scope and scale. Conduct market tenders and manage the evaluation across a cross-functional team to determine supplier selection in accordance with Group Standing Orders and Public Procurement Policy. Understand business requirements and structure deals to meet those requirements. Negotiate deals to achieve optimal commercial terms. Draft contracts based on standard terms and conditions. Lead cross-functional deal teams and liaise with senior stakeholders. Build relationships with key suppliers. Adhere to corporate standards, including using defined sourcing tools and processes in delivery of sourcing initiatives. Identify and implement opportunities to deliver savings for clients and drive benefits through smarter/efficient sourcing. Consider lead times (including consultation requirements of section 20 Landlord & Tenant Act 1985) and monitor inventory levels. Ensure compliance with the legislative framework. Promote Social Value and ESG within the categories and wider business. Benefits:
