This major Utilities organisation is currently experiencing a huge spike in activity and double the investment of previous years, and are looking for the next generation of Procurement Talent to support this journey. This is a fantastic route to your development, if you have a flare for buying, are hungry to specialise in a particular category, and are keen to progress your self-study. As Category Specialist, you will be aligned to a particular Category Manager, carrying out analysis to support their understanding of the category and provide actionable insight, engaging closely and confidently with stakeholders to a senior level, and scoping out tenders. You will carry out spend analysis across suppliers within their systems, interrogate the data, generate reporting, and support the creation of robust category strategy. The following categories are in scope for this role: Corporate Business Services Capital Construction and Engineering Operations, Goods and Manufacturing Indirects and IT Requirements: Prior experience within Commercial Buying. Curiosity and enthusiasm to specialise within a particular category, as well as supporting the wider, major projects. Ability to work autonomously, but ask for direction where needed.
