At Lubrizol, we have a growing student community in the UK across a number of roles. As a purchasing assistant, you will be part of a small team of skilled professionals which services varied purchasing requirements for Equipment, Supplies, and Services principally at the Hazelwood site. What you will be doing:

Liaising with internal customers, suppliers and colleagues Responsible for sourcing goods and services that meet the requirements of the internal customer Communicating and building relationships with suppliers to fulfil the needs of the business. Working closely with the Stores department on stock level replenishment, timely and accurate deliveries and ensuring the quality of all deliveries. Use computer systems to process purchase orders and resolve goods receipt and invoice queries to ensure timely payment to suppliers. Responsible for ensuring maintenance and service contracts are in date and uploaded on to contract database. Ensure that chosen contractors have sufficient documentation i.e. up to date insurances that are accessible on contractor management system. What you will need:

Studying towards a business-related degree including a year in industry, achieving a 2:1 or above. Will accept joint honours with one of the subjects being Business. Able to handle multiple tasks and appropriately manage priorities, whilst completing work within target dates Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in Microsoft Office packages and related common business software Keen interest in commercial aspects of business along with an enthusiasm for building collaborative relationships This role will appeal to someone who wants the opportunity to have a direct impact on organisational growth and margins, whilst working with a variety of stakeholders.
