Description
We’re looking for a Web Analyst who will support our cross-functional SaaS product delivery teams with data expertise. You will define and implement how SaaS product usage data is captured, stored, and extracted. You will also analyse the data and help the rest of the team act on the insights to rapidly iterate and improve the product. You will mentor the delivery teams in adopting some of the data analysis techniques to build a degree of self-sufficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Your initial focus will be shaping one or several Cloud-based modules for our market-leading MIS system for schools, SIMS. As we’re building these modules to complement the on-prem SIMS 7 product, you’ll be working with the agile delivery teams to embed appropriate tools and methods for data analysis. From the specifics of the early modules, you’ll develop an overarching data analysis approach to be applied to future developments on SIMS or indeed elsewhere in our portfolio.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the organisation, including to audiences who are not very data-savvy (essential) Proven ability in data engineering with large data sets Advanced Power BI and Microsoft Fabric use, or equivalent experience in similar tools Experience accessing application databases and applying best practices A track record / desire to stay up to date with the latest developments in product analytics Experience with web analytics tracking tools, such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager (essential) An enthusiastic and curious individual with the aptitude to learn about the EdTech industry and to advocate for our customers’ needs Open-minded, willing to challenge, and take ownership of initiatives within the team, comfortable working collaboratively in a team At least 2 years of experience as a web/product analyst (essential) At least 1 year of experience working with an online business with a large complex SaaS application (essential) Strong communicating and presenting skills, sharing insights in a user-friendly way, including the use of data-visualisation tools (essential) Experience in setting up and maintaining web analytic reports (essential) You’ll have experience working in a modern, agile product team, delivering software (essential)
