As a Product Control Analyst, you’ll dive into valuation, profit & loss analysis, and reporting for the business’ positions and trades. You’ll use tools like Excel, ExcelVBA, SQL, and Python to enhance reporting processes, while being the source of knowledge on risk frameworks and analyses within the team. You’ll collaborate with teammates and business stakeholders to deliver risk assessments, insights, and solutions across a range of projects. Your role includes market analysis, risk reporting, and supporting the introduction of new products and strategies. Expect to work to tight deadlines, presenting your findings in a way that engages the audience. With a focus on risk models and techniques, you’ll deliver timely, high-quality advice to stakeholders. You’ll also be hands-on with model development and be able to explain your concepts clearly using convincing examples.

What skills/experience do I need to be successful? Relevant substantial experience in Product Control or Market Risk; Exposure to commodities; Foundation in financial products and trading businesses. Knowledge of commodities, profit & loss attribution. Exposure to Derivatives, FX, Futures, Swaps, Options and Option Greeks; Excellent presentation skills, both oral and written, with the ability to influence and build strong professional relationships; Good programming and modelling skill set in one or more of (Excel/Excel VBA/ SQL/SSIS/Python/Power BI), knowledge of ETRMs/Systems.
