ProblemShared is looking for an experienced and passionate Product Design Lead. We’re looking for a motivated individual who wants to work in a high-performance team at a scaling health technology company and have responsibility for driving our business growth from day one. We are looking for someone who is well versed in both UI and UX digital product design. The successful candidate will be particularly strong and passionate in the world of UX; however, their daily role will encompass both UI and UX. Underlying user problems are derived from a significant range of areas and user types, therefore the successful candidate must be adept at prioritisation and managing expectations of stakeholders. The candidate will be responsible for driving the design of intuitive, user-centric experiences across both clinician and client-facing web applications. They will apply principles of design thinking to conceptualise and create engaging, valuable, and intuitive user experiences, and promote human-centered methodologies across the product team to ensure new designs meet user needs as well as achieve business goals. It is important to note that this is a contributor role with line management responsibilities and not a purely managerial role. Company Overview

We work in partnership with institutions such as the NHS, insurance companies, and universities to deliver therapy, psychiatry, neurodevelopmental assessments, and post-diagnosis care for adults, children, and young people. At ProblemShared we don’t just look at your CV. We’re more passionate about who you are and your potential. We also know that everyone has a life outside work, so we’re happy to discuss flexible working. We embrace difference and individuality and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. Requirements

Will have mastered the art of running productive and efficient workshops and can draw out the best and most creative ideas from participants. Open to constructive feedback and able to quickly iterate on your designs based on input from stakeholders at all levels. Can manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities while delivering high-quality work on time. Experience line managing and coaching a small design team. Passionate about constantly elevating the quality of output of your team. A well-ordered and process-driven with clear ideas on how best to manage a design team’s workload for efficiency and transparency. Nice to have

Lead design projects across both clinician and client web applications, delivering seamless user experiences for a wide range of users. Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights and inform design decisions. Create user personas, journey maps, and wireframes based on these insights. Develop high-quality UI designs, including mock-ups, prototypes, and design systems. Focus on visual consistency, responsiveness, and accessibility. Develop intuitive information architecture, hierarchies, interaction flows, and wireframes. Ensure that user interfaces are easy to navigate, reducing friction and enhancing usability. Jointly maintain and evolve ProblemShared's design system to ensure consistency across all products and platforms. Work closely with our incumbent senior designer, helping to foster organisational design evolution, developing and promoting best practice within the design team. Stay up to date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies. Bring innovative ideas to the team that can enhance the user experience and product functionality. Develop and maintain your understanding of neurodiversity, along with the challenges and opportunities that it presents for the provision of a toolset which delivers the best possible outcomes for users. Work in partnership with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and stakeholders, to ensure alignment and deliver successful product outcomes. Manage workloads and monitor processes and feedback from stakeholders with a view to constantly improving the team's output and service delivery. No matter who you are, where you’re from, who you love, follow in faith, disability status, ethnicity, or the gender you identify with, you're welcome at ProblemShared. If you have any requests or requirements to support you throughout any part of the interview process or thereafter, please do let us know!
