Convenient public transit (bus stop right outside the facility) Group Retirement Saving Plan / Deferred Profit-Sharing Plan (GRSP/DPSP) Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with briefs, organize submissions, track evaluations and feedback, and provide insights based on your knowledge of the cosmetics or health products, ingredients, and trends. In an assisting role, review incoming client briefs to recommend the correct products by understanding the client blacklist & specifications of the brief. Support sales activity with innovative development to optimize sales and profit. Assist in creating and developing core range of products from inception to production. Research new beauty trends to develop new cosmetics products & innovations that are groundbreaking in the beauty industry. Maintain and organize stock sample, packaging, presentation and raw material library. Attend raw material meetings and create a monthly report highlighting new innovations and trends. Maintain an organized workspace to support efficiency and productivity. Exhibit an organized and detail-oriented working style, ensuring all files, materials, and resources are systematically managed. Work closely with the Research and Innovation Department by providing constructive feedback to ensure the formula is presentable to the clients. Analyze and follow through with changes in materials and manufacturing methods. Coordinate and maintain all documentation associated with each project. Coordinate fulfillment of sample requests from sales team. Create presentations to support new projects and concept ideas for trade shows. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications:
1-2 years of product development experience in the beauty industry, ideally in skincare or color cosmetics. Knowledge of the beauty market and a passion for products, ingredients and how they work. Familiarity with regulatory affairs, compliance, and required testing within the beauty industry (preferred but not required). A strong understanding of color. Experience in Cosmetic manufacturing is an asset. The ability to think strategically and proactively are crucial, as well as being able to excel in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with impeccable organizational and time-management skills. Post-Secondary education required. Courses in business, cosmetics management, cosmetics science, chemistry, sales or marketing are a welcomed asset. Superior problem-solving skills – must be resourceful and creative with solutions.
