Product Development Engineer focuses on supporting the development and improvement of safety-critical technology products.

What the role involves

• Supporting the development and improvement of safety-critical technology products.
• Provide technical input into proposals, tenders, and product roadmaps.
• Resolve hardware, software, and system-level issues.
• Produce technical documentation, schematics, and product datasheets.
• Ensure products meet evolving compliance and cyber-security standards.
• Work on innovative solutions across electronics, systems engineering, and video applications.

Skills and requirements

• CCTV or video systems knowledge (H.264/H.265/MJPEG).
• Exposure to software development/testing.
• Rail, transport, or safety-critical industry experience.

Confirmed role details

• Up to £55,000 depending on experience but junior and graduates are welcome to apply as we can consider all levels for this role.
• Provide technical expertise on advanced video and safety technologies.
• Work closely with technical leadership and cross-functional teams to help shape future product development, improve existing systems.
