The Product Engineer I – Mechanical is responsible for managing product changes to our XRX Bioreactor Hardware product portfolio through its lifecycle. The Product Engineer I is also responsible for contributing as a mechanical SME, drafting V&V protocol and technical documentation, creating training modules or instructions, performing testing, and coordinating and executing investigations. The role requires building relationships across functions, and a focus on manufacturing processes and overall continuous improvement. This position reports to the Product Engineering Manager and is part of the Product Engineering Equipment team located in Shrewsbury, MA, and will be an on-site role. What you will do:

Plan and execute mechanical engineering changes to support XRX Bioreactor hardware products through their lifecycle, including creating technical documentation. Coordinate complex investigations and/or contribute to minor investigations to resolve customer complaints and product quality issues. Execute detailed validation protocols and perform on-site verification testing, as needed. Who you are:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field; Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field; or 4 years of relevant work experience. 1+ years relevant professional experience in mechanical-oriented roles with quality, manufacturing, design, or product development teams. Experience with performing verification and validation (laboratory) testing. Experience with evaluations or root cause investigations. Experience drafting technical documentation or reports. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Experience with sustaining engineering activities for newly launched and legacy products. Experience with project management.
