Job Opportunity: Technical/CAD Engineer
Are you an experienced Technical/CAD Engineer looking for a company offering full product training with career development opportunities? Our client is a leading distributor servicing key industries such as manufacturing, foods, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, water treatment, and agriculture. This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly team based in Verwood. Responsibilities of Product Engineer:
Gain detailed knowledge of our systems. Manage outsourced electrical, fabrication, and welding work and ensure orders/projects are delivered on time. Specify and design custom parts as required. Use CAD software to produce drawings. Set up new part numbers and suppliers. Place orders with suppliers. Assist with stock control and planning, using Microsoft Excel. Communicate with customers regarding repairs. Handle sales & technical enquiries and provide quotes to customers. Skills and Experience:
Qualified to HND / degree level. Minimum 5 years’ experience in full-time employment in a similar technical role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a key requirement for the role. Ability to challenge and question, in order to ultimately satisfy the customer’s needs. Possess strong IT administration skills. Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel in particular) is essential. CAD drawing experience is essential. Mechanical / electrical design or engineering experience required. Vision and drive to implement change and bring efficiency improvements. Desire to succeed and help profitably grow the business. Working Hours:
8.30 - 17:15 Mon-Thurs with 30 minutes for lunch, 8.30 - 13.00 on Friday (37.5 hrs per week). Salary:
£35k-£40k DOE Location: Verwood BH31
