The Opportunity/Role

We now have an opportunity for a Product Manager to join us on a fixed term basis. Reporting to the Head of Product Portfolio, the successful candidate will be responsible for defining the future Building Services product offering and go to market strategy, concentrating on our Product Ranges that form part of our future commercial drainage offer. Prior experience of either this market or our current product ranges would be hugely beneficial.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Product Development:

researching customer needs and identifying development opportunities including new features, performance requirements etc.

Product Implementation:

including the contribution to strategic pricing decisions, proving support to commercial teams regarding margin analysis and discount decisions, delivering price increase implementation plans and providing product training to internal and external stakeholders.

Stakeholder Management:

provide support to End Users, Specifiers, Installers, Distribution and other external stakeholder groups, support sales team at event management and CPD development and be the subject matter expert, generating content, targeting audiences and setting objectives for marketing campaigns including lead requirements and KPI measurement with marketing.

Performance Monitoring:

responsibility for monitoring, reporting and communicating budgets, sales and P&L performance with appropriate stakeholders.

Market Analysis:

liaising with Market Analyst with appropriate customer, channel and product data.

Competitor Analysis:

understand competitors product ranges to compare and communicate pricing strategy, product capabilities, service offering, marketing activity and develop a competitive advantage assessment.

Product Performance:

responsibility and management of your product portfolio with specific regards to Product Life Cycle Management - cull/improve/NPI/obsolescence, sales & margin performance.

Requirements:

5 years + commercial experience in fluid management / construction / ideally in the plastic piping sector.

Demonstrable product management experience.

High level knowledge of Microsoft 365 package, (eg Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The ability to persuade and influence others.

Able to engage at all levels within a complex matrix organization.
