Job Summary - Purpose of the Role Role is about to manage and develop a product portfolio to maximize profit and achieve agreed targets. Achieving sustainable volume and profit growth of the managed product portfolio. Manage own portfolio / budget / supplier performance & relations. Use SRM to log Supplier visit reports and maintain Supplier contacts. Use SFDC to review Customer visit reports (CPP's) and to ensure that the sales activity and Target pipeline is sufficient to deliver planned growth. Ensure SFDC product list is accurate. Effectively launch new products into the product range and ensure appropriate personnel receive the relevant training. Provide leadership in negotiation with suppliers to secure appropriate purchase/distribution agreements and prices. Implementation of a defined pricing strategy, monitor, update selling schedules and any price movements when appropriate. Interface with suppliers (and colleagues) to improve service levels/delivery performance. Participate in required and related international/local fairs, exhibitions and/or seminars. Effective management of Product Portfolio in line with Working Capital KPI's. Providing commercial product and market updates. Work closely with Sales to provide commercial support, and ensure awareness of product specifications, sourcing and purchasing arrangements, availability and pricing. Liaise with Supply Chain to determine forecasts and appropriate stock levels. Cultivate an open and regular dialogue with all internal functions. To comply with all company processes, policies and guidelines. The duties described in this job description cover the main duties of the role but they are not exhaustive and will vary by country. Qualifications & Skills University degree in Economic / Marketing / Chemical Sciences is a preference. Extensive experience within product management or equivalent mandatory. Proven track record within B2B commercial environment. Understanding of working in an international environment. Strong project management skills and the ability to adapt and prioritize under changing circumstances. People management skills critical (if managing a team). In-depth knowledge of the competitive environment of the designated products, including alternative producers, strengths and weaknesses of the producers, competitors, geographical areas, and legal aspects. Technical knowledge of the designated products applications or potential and/or willingness to acquire such knowledge and capability to transmit. Strong knowledge of SAP is a preference. MS Office experience is required. Excellent negotiation/communication skills, including presentation. Fluent English language skills. Key Competencies and Behaviors Result oriented
