As we expand our capabilities in connected mobility, we are seeking a dynamic and skilled Product Manager to play a critical role in delivering our connected mobility strategy.

Product Manager - Connected Mobility

will support the Head of Connected Mobility in shaping and delivering the roadmap for our connected vehicle programme.

Initially, this role will focus on helping to build a business case, developing the product strategy, and defining the roadmap. The role will evolve into a more conventional product management role, overseeing the development and delivery of connected vehicle products that enhance customer experiences and deliver commercial value.

This position requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on delivery, with a strong emphasis on data-driven decision-making, customer-centricity, and collaboration across teams.

Key Responsibilities

Initial Phase: Business Case & Strategy Development Support the Head of Connected Mobility in defining the vision, strategy, and objectives for connected mobility initiatives. Conduct research and analysis to identify market opportunities, customer needs, and emerging trends in vehicle connectivity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a comprehensive business case and delivery roadmap. Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including OEMs, suppliers, and partners, to gather requirements and assess capabilities.

Evolving Role: Product Development & Delivery Refine and deliver the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals, customer needs, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with technology, data, and operations teams to develop, launch, and manage connected vehicle products. Define and prioritise product requirements based on customer insights, commercial value, and technical feasibility. Ensure delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions through effective stakeholder engagement and project management. Monitor and evaluate product performance, leveraging data and analytics to inform continuous improvement.

Ongoing Responsibilities: Balance customer experience and commercial outcomes, ensuring products deliver measurable value to the organisation and customers. Support the development of analytics capabilities to unlock insights and drive decision-making. Maintain compliance with GDPR and other regulatory requirements in all connected vehicle initiatives. Act as a subject matter expert in connected vehicle technologies and fleet or leasing operations.

Qualifications

This position requires a balance of strategic product thinking and hands-on delivery, with a strong emphasis on data-driven decision-making, customer-centricity, and collaboration across teams.

Minimum Criteria Proven experience in product management within a fleet, leasing, automotive, or related industry. Strong understanding of connected vehicle technologies and their applications. Demonstrated ability to define and deliver product roadmaps in a cross-functional environment. Excellent data and analytics skills, with experience leveraging insights to inform decisions. Customer-focused mindset, with a proven ability to balance customer experience with commercial objectives. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders.

Desirable Experience developing business cases for complex products or programmes. Knowledge of telematics, API integrations, or cloud-based data solutions. Familiarity with the Motability Scheme or similar customer-focused organisations. Understanding of sustainability considerations in mobility solutions.
