Gladstone - Product Manager (Payments) The Role: Gladstone Software is seeking a Product Manager to be responsible for payments and transactional revenue across their system. As the market leader in leisure management software, Gladstone provides financial services to their operators. The Gladstone Pay ecosystem currently comprises of: Online Transactions (including Recurring Card Payments), Acquiring, Direct Debits, and Card Payment Terminals. The Product Manager will shape company strategy and will be deeply involved in the commercial success of payments. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our brand, driving innovation and ensuring our products are at the forefront of the industry. The successful candidate will support our customers to grow revenues, introduce customer-centric, seamless processes and secure Gladstone’s status as a trusted partner. Responsibilities: Roadmap Definition: Define and execute the product roadmap for payments, aligning with business goals, market trends, and maximizing Return on Investment (ROI). Work closely with critical stakeholders to understand and prioritise features, balancing commercial value, organisational value, and risk. Evaluate features and initiatives based on their potential ROI and payback period to ensure strategic alignment with financial objectives. Strategy Development: Working alongside the Chief Product Officer, refine the long-term payments strategy. Conduct market research and analysis, leveraging your Payment/Financial Services experience, to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering colleagues to ensure alignment between the product goals and technical requirements. Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure cohesive product delivery. Customer-Centric Excellence: Collaborate with customer support teams to address customer concerns, gather feedback, and ensure a positive overall customer experience. Monitor industry reviews, customer feedback, and market perceptions to proactively address any issues and capitalise on positive sentiment. Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing team to develop strategies that positively position our products in the market. Risk Management: Evaluate and manage risks associated with product development, implementing strategies to mitigate potential challenges. Collaborate with the Risk & Compliance Manager to ensure we meet regulatory compliance. Product Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring high-quality deliverables. What you will need to succeed: Proven experience in a product management role, ideally within the software industry and with a background in Payment/Financial Services. Demonstrated success in defining and executing product roadmaps and strategies that drive business growth. Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Solid understanding of software development life cycle models and experience in Agile methodologies.
