This role is responsible for the product that is developed, defining the strategy, vision, and goal also responsible for the product backlog and ensuring that the development team has a clear understanding of the product vision and goals. Ensuring the product strategy and deliverables align with business goals and customer needs. Key responsibilities: Develop and maintain a product roadmap that aligns with business goals and customer needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritise product features and requirements, anticipating their future needs and being able to translate into product requirements. Communicate product vision and progress to stakeholders and team members. Work closely with development teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality product releases. Conduct user testing and gather feedback to inform product decisions. Act as the primary point of contact for the development team and stakeholders regarding product-related issues. Manage and prioritise product defects and issues. Effectively manage the product backlog and prioritise tasks based on changing requirements. Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for product innovation. Reporting & management: Skilled at building relationships across operational and delivery teams. Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external IT teams to ensure successful product delivery. Qualifications, experience & skills: Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline or relevant experience in a similar role for a minimum of 2 years. Experience of the full IT development lifecycle and Agile methodology. Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence or other product management software. Proficient in a range of analysis tools including MoSCoW prioritisation, process mapping, gap analysis, root cause analysis and use case modelling. Proven experience in embedding change into operational environments offering coaching and support to individuals if required. Knowledge of Process Mapping Software such as Microsoft Visio, Miro, Lucidchart or BPMN Tools. Knowledge of CRM and workflow systems. Experience of hands-on use of low/no code tools such as Creatio, MS Dynamics & Power BI. Certified Product Owner. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make pragmatic decisions. Strong analytical skills, the ability to plan/organise and balance simultaneous priorities. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to challenge and prioritise with a clear understanding of the business and customer value delivered and outcomes that will be achieved. Self-motivated, open to ideas, able to influence others. Good knowledge of user-centred design principles. Please note this role is hybrid and will require at least 1 day per week based at our Bolton office, however, this may be slightly more when first starting in the role.
