Rentokil Initial has an IT strategy, in the main, of developing and deploying bespoke applications across the Prospect to Cash business processes. The Group Information Systems (GIS) function is developing an exciting new generation suite of Enterprise solutions utilising Google Cloud Platform. Has experience of the business' customers, product portfolio and operations.

Has demonstrable skills across the Product Management life cycle. Has deep practical understanding of the activities of the employer or client and is able to demonstrate the importance of product profitability within the business. Able to effectively communicate and influence stakeholders given the agreed product strategy and plan.

Main Purpose of role:

The active management of a product or service throughout its lifecycle (inception through to retirement) including Product Roadmap Definition and Product Boards Prepares for and participates in the PI-planning event and supports the Product Group Lead and other POs as a member of Product Management Supports the team in estimating features (Points per Sprint vs Capacity) and setting sprint priorities (from the backlog) Promotes quality and ensures that the product teams follow the RI standard, policies and guidelines in delivering their work Ensures the team's compliance to RI business processes and policies, especially the development process and the life cycle management process Negotiates with stakeholders at senior levels, ensuring that organisational policy and strategies are adhered to. Provides informed feedback to assess and promote understanding Is responsible for Support Services and maintenance of the product(s) including application support and second, third line support User Experience and Learning Release Management Quality of product releases (functional, Performance, Security) Team time management and recharge accuracy Team cohesion, line management and communication

Requirements: Experience:

Proficiency in the Task of Product Management Level 5 OR experience (typically five years or more with some at Level 4) in other SFIA Skills. Has experience of the business' customers, product portfolio and operations. Has demonstrable skills across the Product Management life cycle. Has deep practical understanding of the activities of the employer or client and is able to demonstrate the importance of product profitability within the business. Able to effectively communicate and influence stakeholders given the agreed product strategy and plan.

OR

Proficiency at Level 5 in any SFIA Skill, OR: experience (typically five years) working as a constructive user or supplier of information services with significant exposure to, and knowledge of, a major Service provision Skill and the operational flows of the organisation. Understands the principles of business and markets and has experience of relevant business sectors. Has proven project management and leadership skills. Has a thorough knowledge of how to make and sustain a business case (the benefits that will be delivered, the investment cost and the risks involved). Demonstrates up to date knowledge of the organisation's business environment, culture, policy framework, organisational relationships, business processes, and reporting procedures. Displays good inter-personal skills at all levels of contact and in a wide variety of situations, demonstrates the ability to listen and influence, and to relate to customers in their own language. Demonstrates sound practical knowledge of associated technical disciplines e.g. process re-design, systems development and service delivery. Uses high level of technical understanding to interpret technical issues for the business and sustain credibility with IT.

Educated to bachelor degree level and holds a relevant professional qualification.
