Product Quality Support Engineer required in Luton, Bedfordshire. As a Product Quality Support Engineer, you will be responsible for assessing quality requirements of specifications and technical design documents to ensure timely, relevant, and meaningful feedback. The Product Quality Engineer (PQE) shall create, prepare, and implement the ITP and any associated and relevant directives, procedures, and instructions needed to support the plan. Responsibilities:

Develop and manage the quality control and quality assurance procedures and conformance reviews ensuring contract requirements are met. Review enquiry documents and prepare summary QA/QC documentation as part of quotation submission. Prepare and maintain product specifications and process procedures, including monitoring approval records (Agility System). Prepare detailed SIR’s (Strip and Inspection reports) for customer approval (if required). Carry out all measurement requirements where required. Control of contract quality plans and monitor live QP’s for daily status. Maintain and control NDE qualification records. Control of CAPA’s (Nuclear). Certification checks and stamped sign off against standards and HT PO text. Control of MSDS and COSHH (Nuclear). Control of Sub-Contract deliveries monitoring progress, compliance, and due dates. Maintain and control of weld & welder qualifications where appropriate. Ensure changes in QA specifications are reflected in accordance with Engineering Manager’s requirements. Monitor and incorporate changes to QA compliance integrating relevant design codes (ASME, API, etc.). Provide quality support to Sales, Operations, Production Engineering, Manufacturing, and Test. Participate or lead quality improvement projects. Participate in supplier and internal and external QA audit activity. Area control on shop floor or weekly 5S. Material Cert. check and population of data books for the customer. What you will need:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a QA role at a similar manufacturing site. Ability to use a range of standard measuring equipment and understand calibration requirements. Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings. Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, SolidWorks (design). UK Passport Holder (not dual). A Full Driving Licence.
