Job Purpose & Scope To work as part of the Products Team with a focus on our Savings range. Driving process and operational change to the product range to meet the needs of our customers and deliver operational efficiencies will be a key part of the role. The role holder should mirror the Society's desire to build on strong foundations and will also manage the simplification and evolution of the product suite. Providing exceptional customer outcomes through well-designed processes for new and existing members should be at the heart of everything that the role holder does.

Duties and Key Responsibilities

Main areas of work Lead product testing and support the design, development, assessment, and approval process for new products and propositions, ensuring they meet all appropriate internal and external stakeholder requirements.

Work with Marketing colleagues to enact effective campaigns, maintain product literature and information, and identify and deliver opportunities to drive member engagement.

Support the development of product system configuration in conjunction with IT.

Support the creation of annual product reviews that meet Consumer Duty standards to ensure products are performing in line with expectations and attracting the expected target customers.

Monitor the end-to-end Customer Journey and identify areas for improvement and development in conjunction with operational and distribution teams.

Support the Products Manager in maintaining robust levels of skills and knowledge in the team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, leading to the delivery of good customer outcomes and fair value for all customers. Ensure adherence to Product Governance and Regulation including Consumer Duty and outcome monitoring, and champion a customer-centric culture by embedding Consumer Duty Principles in design and customer journeys.

Ensure the Society's Vulnerable Customer Policy and principles are embedded within the product journey and design, to effectively identify and address the needs of vulnerable customers, delivering fair and consistent outcomes in line with FCA guidance.

Performance Management of the customer experience via effective oversight of delivery areas. In particular, oversight of MI, KPIs, change, risks, and customer feedback.

Continuously drive improvements in product-related management information, ensuring that it remains relevant, is accurate, and supports timely decision-making.

Carry out any other duties as may be reasonably required including supporting other areas of the Society as requested by management and in accordance with company requirements.

Person Specification Qualifications & Knowledge A working knowledge and understanding of BCOBS regulations is required. It is preferable that this experience was built within a building society setting.

Knowledge of retail financial services and associated regulatory regimes, customer conduct/outcomes, and FCA operational principles.

Outstanding consumer understanding and a drive to deliver insightful product and market analysis in support of effective decision-making.

Experience Experience of working in a product management or retail savings role within a financial services environment.

Evidence of collating market information, summarising, and writing reports to support product developments.

Effective collaboration with a proven ability to work across different business units ensuring products and related processes deliver an exceptional customer experience. Skills & Abilities Ability to plan workloads and resources effectively and in line with deadlines.

Ability to identify opportunities and proposition development.

Able to prioritise opportunities, challenges, and tasks to achieve successful outcomes.

Highly self-disciplined and proactive person who can deliver quality output to an agreed timeline.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. A proven ability to write proposals with clear, succinct recommendations.

First-class stakeholder management with confidence and credibility to communicate with colleagues across the Society.

A complete commitment to delivering the right customer outcomes.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
