In this engaging role, you’ll have the opportunity to further develop your skills by performing maintenance and repairs on mtu rail engines and ensuring they meet the highest standards and work as per our Customer’s requirements. What You Will Be Doing: Perform preventative, scheduled maintenance and/or corrective maintenance activities in accordance with the maintenance schedule, manuals and contract. Actively participate in the ongoing continuous improvement activities for both maintenance and procedures. Undertake fault finding and repair when required using appropriate technical information (e.g. Technical drawings and fault finding guides). Attend meetings with the Customer to obtain sign off for work that has been carried out on the Customer’s equipment. Completion of relevant documentation for all work carried out to accurately reflect the activities for the company and the customer. Proactive involvement in the Company’s HSQE management processes. Participate in 24/7 shift working including callout when required. Work as a mobile engineer if required; a van will be provided. Attend local and factory training courses when necessary to ensure your skills remain current. Who We’re Looking For: Prior experience working in a similar role. An enthusiastic person, proactive with good initiative, organizational skills, and a flexible attitude. Outstanding safety awareness skills. An ability to make effective use of IT systems. Must be a competent writer of business letters, emails and detailed technical reports.
