Are you passionate about quality and product safety? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of regulatory testing requirements? We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Product Technologist (QA/QC) to join our growing client in Stretford.

As a Product Technologist, you will ensure that our diverse range of products - including stationery, educational, arts & crafts, and electrical items - meets the highest standards of quality, performance, and safety. You'll play a key role in ensuring that our products comply with all legal, testing, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and manage technical files for our products (test reports, factory audits, safety assessments, product specifications, etc.) Brief the buying team on product compliance and performance, providing feedback on product testing and quality. Organize third-party testing (e.g., Intertek, SGS), negotiate test fees, and ensure compliance with standards. Conduct factory audits, inline inspections, and ensure product quality meets Acceptable Quality Levels (AQL). Manage production timelines to ensure deadlines and shipping schedules are met. Proofread and review instruction manuals, product packaging, and labelling for compliance and accuracy. Monitor product performance statistics, track returns, customer complaints, and internet reviews, and provide updates on product performance. Input and maintain product information in our ERP system, providing critical data for accurate record-keeping. Handle product-related technical calls and complaints.

Minimum Requirements:

Product Technologist/QA Technologist experience with stationery or FMCG products. Please don't apply if you only have food/pharmaceutical/laboratory experience as this won't be considered. Familiarity with regulatory testing requirements such as REACH, CPSIA, EN71, and ISO standards for a wide range of products, including children's products, stationery, and arts & crafts.
