The Company This Swansea based organisation manufactures and distributes a wide variety of Fire Alarm Systems to a global network. Their quality products are well renowned in the industry and sold in over 40 countries. Through research and development, their products are continually adapted to keep up with new technology and innovations. The Role This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday. The Production Control Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day planning, monitoring of workflow, raw material availability, and supervision of the production staff. You will be based on the factory floor leading and guiding your team. Duties will include: Supervision / management of a team of +/-14 manufacturing operatives Attending daily operations meetings Management of the daily production requirements Production scheduling Materials planning, liaising with the warehouse / logistics department to ensure availability of required raw materials Monitoring of production efficiency and productivity Ensuring high-quality output in conjunction with the quality manager Ensuring all Health and Safety measures are in place and adhered to Daily collation and reporting of production figures Ensuring daily goals and deadlines are met Monitoring of staffing levels to ensure adequate cover for periods of leave / sickness / increased production etc. Reporting of any machinery / tooling faults to quality control/engineering department Overseeing the training and coaching of the team Requirements This position will suit an applicant who has solid experience in production supervision / management as well as production planning and scheduling. The successful applicant will have the following experience, skills, and attributes: Previous supervisory / managerial experience in a manufacturing production environment is essential Electrical qualification / background an advantage but not essential Experience in production planning and scheduling essential Computer literacy Ability to train, coach, and mentor employees Well organised, responsible, and solid attention to detail Excellent communication skills In Return This is a great opportunity to secure a responsible position in a growing organisation.
