Summary

Reporting to Senior Management, this role is important to ensure effective co-ordination of manufacturing and repair activities to ensure company objectives and customer expectations are achieved.

Experience in production control within a mechanical engineering environment with good organisational and time management skills.

Ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks effectively with good communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong attitude to quality and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Co-ordinate with General Manager to review and establish priorities and prepare schedules.

Liaise with Operations Manager to assist in production control to meet customer/company requirements.

Liaise with Repair Eng Manager to ensure timely availability of parts, consumables etc for assembly projects.

Liaise with administration/purchasing for issue of purchase orders etc for sub-contract.

Liaise with Engineering regarding assessment process, bills of material and technical sub-contract.

Monitor material/parts receipts from suppliers to ensure continuous operations.

Plan sub-contract services in a timely manner to maintain schedule.

Investigate options to improve production methods and efficiency.

Ensure quality standards are maintained.

Benefits

37 hour working week

Monday to Thursday 07.45 – 16.15

Friday 07.45 – 12.45

Salary: £42,000 per annum

Annual pay review plus additional incentive based on personal annual appraisal.
