Are you a Production Director who wants to build a team and make a real impact in a successful, growing business? This truly is a rare and exciting opportunity for you to create something special in a best in class, newly built factory that will see the business double in turnover in the next 2 years. Terinex are an independent flexible packaging supplier that specialises in the design and print of flexible packaging – film and paper for the food, medical and pet food industries. 2024 saw them open the UK’s first net zero CO2 rated building to house a flexographic printing facility. Located on a new 3-acre site near Derby, the £10m 46,000 sq ft building is big enough to accommodate the company’s future growth and innovation plans in the most sustainable way possible. As Production Director, you will lead all production, engineering, HSE, material control and warehouse operations and be responsible for building the team structure and recruiting into it to enable the forecast growth. You will develop structures, systems, KPIs and skills within the workforce in readiness to meet and successfully overcome the challenges as the business grows. It will be critical to your success to initially be tactically hands-on on the factory floor, utilising your proven leadership ability and gravitas to nurture and coach your growing team to put the building blocks in place. Alongside other board members, you will be responsible for promoting the company’s core values, enhancing the development of the culture and working environment. You will be a modern collaborative leader who will transform the facility into a best-in-class operation, leading the business to scale up more effectively. Current operations are still immature, and efficiencies are being missed so this is a real opportunity for you to focus on further developing and embedding a continuous improvement culture. Who we're looking for? A proven track record leading autonomously a high-growth manufacturing operation, with a multi-discipline team, within flexible packaging, print or lamination or other high-volume roll/sheet converting manufacturing environments such as films, foils, polyesters, adhesives, paper, silicone, textiles, adhesive tapes, foams, plastics, felts, rubbers, and liners. Strategic ability, whilst also having a pragmatic/hands-on approach - fitting of an SME. Able to specify and generate data for reporting performance on operations whilst working with imperfect information to make good decisions. Extensive leadership skills with a history of coaching/developing and delivering progressive cultural change in keeping with core values, enhancing employee capability and manufacturing performance. Experienced in driving measurable and sustainable site performance improvement through implementation of lean/world class manufacturing techniques including TPM and 5S. What They Offer To help you succeed you will be supported by an organisation with a genuine appetite for transformation and you will be given the autonomy to make changes, but at the same time have support from the wider group. Terinex will ensure you receive a competitive salary package. Are you the one we're looking for? Please apply, send your CV or for an informal and confidential discussion, please contact Simon Owens at our retained consultants Kaizen Talent Solutions. All third party, direct or speculative CV's will be forwarded to Kaizen Talent Solutions Limited.
