As a Production Engineer, you will be based at the manufacturing site in Derby where you will play a key role within the engineering department, collaborating across functions such as Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance. Your Responsibilities

Resolving quality and mechanical issues across press tools, jigs, fixtures, and assembly tooling. Planning and providing component samples for trials, R&D, and sample builds. Driving cross-functional improvements to achieve KPIs, including production efficiency, quality, and scrap reduction. Supporting robust systems for managing tools, tool rooms, and changeovers using SMED principles. Collaborating with NPI Project Engineers to implement new products into production. Key Requirements

Educated to degree level (or equivalent qualifications and relevant industrial experience). Expertise in press tooling, jigs, fixtures, and lean manufacturing principles. Strong mechanical engineering background with hands-on experience in press tooling, sheet metal, or jig and fixture manufacturing. Proven ability to manage small to medium-sized projects with a focus on timelines, specifications, and team collaboration. Exceptional problem-solving skills and a flair for generating innovative ideas.
