Salary Guide: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience. Location: Harlow, Essex, office based Hours: 40 hours per week, 8.00 am - 4.30 pm. An excellent opportunity for a Production Engineer to join one of the UK's leading design and manufacturers of temporary, heavy-duty electrical distribution equipment for the construction, building services, military, rail sectors, and other similar fields. This role is based on-site at our client's Engineering Centre in Harlow, Essex and offers an interesting and varied workload. The Production Engineer will: Drive the company's continuous improvement initiatives. Assist in assessing floor layout and plant requirements to meet business strategy. Project manage the implementation of new methods, processes, and any new plant and equipment. Report to the Production Director. Be a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills at every level of the organisation. Maintain a calm and unruffled approach, able to manage high levels of pressure and possess the personality and people skills necessary to create a customer-focused team. Drive through change, building credibility and confidence across the company. Have previous experience and success in a production engineering role within a small/medium-sized manufacturing environment. Be computer literate and proficient in production information systems including MRP and CAD/CAM manufacturing tools. Be familiar with the processes and procedures of an ISO Quality Assurance environment. Exhibit sound analytical skills, be commercially oriented, results-driven, and possess good negotiation ability. Be committed to customer service and quality. Have knowledge of manufacturing methods within an electrical assembly/panel building sheet metal fabrication environment, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings. Hold a formal qualification in a manufacturing engineering discipline (preferably HNC). HRGO Recruitment offers permanent and temporary jobs across the UK.
