I am working with a precision engineering company established in 2003, specialising in sub-contract milling, turning, and presswork projects for the defence communications and medical sectors. About the Role: Due to organic growth, they are now looking to add new talent to the team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machinist or manufacturing engineer looking to transition into a production engineering role. Key Responsibilities: Quoting work for customers and providing accurate cost estimations. Designing tooling and developing efficient production methods. Progressing customer orders and ensuring timely delivery. Liaising with shop floor staff to ensure smooth production processes. What We're Looking For: Apprentice trained or a minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering roles. Strong knowledge of
milling, turning, and presswork
processes is essential. Knowledge of
Tricorn
MRP (advantageous). Experience with
AutoCAD
(advantageous). Proficient in computer skills and familiarity with production planning tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. What We Offer: Salary circa 27k - 47k depending on the level of experience the candidate can bring. 37 hours per week. 25 days holiday per year, plus bank holidays. Company pension scheme.
