will support the production, carrying out ongoing continuous improvement activities, putting in work instructions and SOPs. You will get involved in a new MRP implementation and how the bills of materials and routings feed into it. The

will review efficiencies and eliminate waste within the manufacturing process to safely deliver high-quality products/components to clearly defined standards. About you: This

Production Engineer

position will require someone who is currently in a similar role, ideally within a mechanical-based product range. As a small manufacturing company, the staff who work for this business are proactive, enjoy working with others, accept challenging targets, and are comfortable adapting to new tasks. The Production Engineer will need to be team-oriented but still happy to work individually. Production Engineers applying for this role should have the following skills, experience, and interests: A background in mechanical engineering discipline is required and the relevant practical experience within a manufacturing environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-changing environment under pressure. Skills, experience, and expertise in supporting new and existing production lines. Adaptable to accept new changes in production engineering. Ability to identify problems and resolve them quickly. Results-oriented and commercial awareness. Strong communication skills to liaise with multiple departments including the engineering team. Ability to work with IT systems and possess a good level of PC literacy. Experience with a MRP system is essential, and experience with NAV or Factory Master is advantageous but not essential.
