ASAP GPW are working exclusively with an established, successful manufacturer based in Bolton to recruit an experienced Production Manager. Reporting to the Operations Manager, your role as the Production Manager is to oversee the day to day running of the manufacturing facility including stores and distribution. The ideal candidate will have confidence in leading a project in a timely and efficient manner whilst understanding and managing the customer’s requirements. You will need the ability to plan and delegate work accordingly in order to meet customer deadlines. This is very much a “hands-on” role and the right candidate must be able to adapt to changing circumstances as they arise. Availability to travel both in the UK and abroad would be advantageous. Skills and experience: Management/Supervisory experience. Manufacturing background. Good written, oral and communication skills with both employees and customers. Ability to meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining high standards and attention to detail. Exposure to on-site/off-site manufacturing. Customer meetings/site visits/Site installation support as required. Knowledge of ISO 9001 standard and able to maintain/record quality records and assist with annual audit. Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations ensuring that all safety protocols are followed on the production floor and able to assist with risk assessments as required. Awareness of engineering regulations and standards and CE markings. Ability to read engineering drawings would be desirable. Experience with managing stock levels. Essential Requirements and qualifications: Relevant HNC/HND A Levels or NVQ GCSE’s Full Driver’s License/Own car On offer as the Production Manager: Basic salary £38,000 - £40,000 pa 37.5 hour working week Hours of work 8:30- 16:30 with 30 minutes lunch 20 days holidays increasing 1 day per year to a maximum of 25 Profit related pay after 6 months To apply for the Production Manager please click apply now.
