Production Manager
We are currently working with a client who is an internationally renowned and family-owned manufacturing company founded in 1926. The company has enjoyed unrivalled expansion in the last decade. Today it operates from five locations worldwide and exports mechanical handling equipment to over 65 countries. We are recruiting for an experienced Production Manager to join this business.
Key skills required from the Production Manager:
Must have over 5 years working experience as a Production Manager A solid and proven background in engineering Must have a machining background Exceptional people management skills, including delegation, empowerment, training, and coaching Managing a team of up to 20 people (through a supervisory team) Understanding of and daily use of basic ER & HR management procedures (including coaching others) Health & Safety and QMS manufacturing experience Defining and implementing 12-18 month improvement plans Managing a manufacturing-engineering production within a modern factory Managing small change projects Methodically improving manufacturing standards and processes PC literate and self-starting to develop IT skills (Excel/Word/WHM/ERP etc.)
Responsibilities:
The successful Production Manager will ensure that all manufacturing operations perform effectively by delivering people, customer & SQDC KPIs and goals on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. It is a key responsibility of this role to implement manufacturing excellence and develop capability by establishing and implementing a 6-12 month department improvement plan.

Working hours: 39 hours, Monday - Thursday 8am - 4.30pm and Friday 8am - 3.30pm.
