This role is reporting directly to the Managing Director, and will be on a permanent contract.
Duties:
Overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing process
Production Planning
Ensuring that all materials are available for Production
Ensuring that all sub-contractors are organised in time for all deliveries to be met
Overseeing the Quality Control department
Liaising with the customers in good time if there are any delays/problems in production.
Working closely with the sales, design and planning team and the shop floor to ensure that all paperwork is complete, up-to-date, and correct and that all necessary design changes are made and followed through.
Ensuring health and safety rules and regulations are up-to-date and being adhered to by staff members.
Continually monitor quality and report to the appropriate department on any issues and to initiate and monitor change where required.
Be responsible for all factory areas inside and out to maintain a clean, safe and tidy environment.
Monitor overtime and carry out disciplinaries as and when required.
Carry out annual appraisals with factory staff and identify/offer relevant training/coaching and team building exercises where applicable.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in manufacturing
Proven team leadership and management skills
A can-do, hands-on attitude.
Ability to communicate easily on all levels
Have demonstrable people management skills to maintain good relationships within the workforce and further build a strong, collaborative team.
Pay:
£30,000 to £40,000 per annum (Dependent on experience)
Hours:
Monday to Thursday – 07:30 to 16:30
Friday – 07:30 to 12:30
