This Production Manager role is working for a manufacturer in Crawley. The role is Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm. The role is fully onsite and is paying a highly competitive salary.
This Production Manager role ensures efficient operations by optimising resources, enhancing processes, and maintaining quality standards to meet KPIs. Responsibilities include: Implementing production systems Ensuring HSE compliance Fostering teamwork Driving continuous improvement Key focuses are staff development, budget control, timely delivery, and collaboration to achieve operational excellence and customer satisfaction. This is a varied role as this position will encompass the machine, metal finishing, coatings, assembly, product grouping, packing, and shipping of the product. The products are high quality and tend to be bespoke, meaning that the role tends to see a high volume of orders but small batches of products with lots of variability. Continuous improvement is very important and one of the primary focuses of the role. For example, one objective of the role is to help increase the efficiency of processes to enhance the manufacturing capacity so that 20% of manufacturing activities can be insourced.
