PRODUCTION MANAGER FLSA STATUS:

EXEMPT JOB POSITION SUMMARY Under administrative direction, performs work of intermediate difficulty in managing and coordinating activities related to manufacturing and production planning. DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF JOB POSITION Work involves assisting the General Manager in the manufacturing of new products, service & repair of RMA products, production planning, scheduling, and facilities/infrastructure oversight. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises, coordinates, and provides leadership to assigned staff. Conducts performance evaluations and salary reviews for assigned staff. Applies organizational policies and assures adherence to departmental procedures. Prepares and manages department budget, monitors and reports budget anomalies. Prepares reports related to departmental activities. Reviews productivity and quality levels. Supports development of cost and labor estimates for proposals. Directs and facilitates process/systems/equipment failure critiques and analysis. Oversees planning & scheduling activities within area of responsibility daily. Delegates work tasks to appropriate staff. Performs other related duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY/MENTORSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES Exercises supervision of staff in relation to area of responsibility. Provide leadership to effectively resolve issues. Maintain confidentiality. Proficient with Microsoft applications including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word. Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems. EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE Completion of an Associate degree in a technical discipline; and 2 years' experience in operations management (electronic assembly environment preferred); or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
