Production Manager What You’ll Do: As our Production Manager, you’ll take the lead in overseeing all aspects of our manufacturing processes, from concept to launch. You’ll ensure that our goods are produced efficiently, meet commercial and quality specifications, and comply with regulatory standards. Your role will involve managing production schedules, driving operational excellence, and developing a high-performing team. Your Key Responsibilities Will Include: Ensuring production schedules are met in line with customer demand, budgets, and quality standards. Coordinating staff resources and raw materials to ensure daily operations and new product launches run smoothly. Ensuring all products meet agreed customer specifications. Developing and monitoring key performance metrics to optimise operational performance. Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, compliance, and product quality. Leading, motivating, and managing the production workforce to achieve daily objectives. Conducting regular team briefings, setting performance targets, and identifying training needs. Supporting team development through regular reviews and appraisals, setting clear achievement goals. Participating in audit programmes and ensuring non-conformances are resolved promptly. Ensuring full compliance with food safety legislation, technical accreditation, and hygiene standards. Collaborating with the maintenance team to keep all equipment in optimal working order. Keeping senior management informed of opportunities and risks that may affect the business. Contributing to strategic business initiatives and carrying out additional tasks as directed by the Operations Manager or Director. What We’re Looking For: We’re seeking a dynamic leader with a proven track record in production management, preferably within the food manufacturing sector. You’ll need to be data-driven, solutions-focused, and capable of fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Key Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical skills to support decision-making. Highly motivated, results-oriented, and solutions-driven. Ability to communicate a clear vision and inspire others to achieve goals. Knowledge of food safety legislation (Food Safety Level 3). Proficiency in HACCP, CCP, and SALSA principles. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. IT proficiency, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams with varying skill levels. Flexible and adaptable, thriving in a fast-paced, growing production environment.
