A&P Tyne – Production Manager Are you ready to lead, innovate and shape the future of our Fabrication Shed here at A&P Tyne? We are looking for a Production Manager who will lead our skilled team ensuring that quality standards are met and efficiencies are optimised. Strong leadership of this team is critical to the business as the main interface between departments and other business functions. Its a great opportunity for someone who has either been in a similar role and is looking for a fresh challenge with the level of responsibility that comes with a department. So what will you do? Achieve budget and maximise efficiencies; Ensure value for money when providing services to the production facility Organise all discipline section leaders within the fabrication hall in line with production & project requirements. Leading, mentoring and inspiring a team of fabrication experts fostering a culture of Continuous Improvement and ensuring individuals have a clear expectation of requirements and their behaviours both meet and demonstrate this You’ll manage, co-ordinate and expedite all aspects of the production management within the fabrication facility with the on-site project team ensuring all issues are captured, actioned and documented Initiating, Chairing and providing structure to a morning production review, your primary focus being last 24 hours performance around HSE, Quality, People, performance, Machines / Equipment, Project updates, AOB you’ll understand Load & Capacity requirements, in conjunction with HR a line resource Ensure annual PDP’s are in place and updated for each member of the Fabrication Supervisory team with ¾ suitable objectives that are aligned and cascaded from above Reporting to the Head of Fabrication and Manufacturing as well as working with Project Managers you’ll oversee, monitor, maintain and report production progress communicating any problems or obstacles to senior management And what are we looking for? Leadership skills including self-motivation and commitment to both self and team development An awareness of strategic response to external influences to ensure both colleague and customer satisfaction The ability to interpret and present complex information, managing large projects and thinking on your feet Experience within Production / Heavy Fabrication or similar Why join us?
