Following investment and new product launch, a leading manufacturer of complex assembles and components to the Automotive and Aerospace sectors has a new opportunity for a Production Manager. Part of the senior management team, you will oversee the day to day function in production, drive continuous improvement, operational excellence and will ideally have experience working in a machining production environment.
The Role
Work with the senior management team on improving customer satisfaction, employee relations and best practise.
Manage and develop the production team.
Lead the development of a culture which supports process management and continuous improvement.
Develop action plans focused in improving output.
Ensure measures are taken to achieve cost reduction opportunities and reduce waste.
Improve manufacturing engineering capacity and efficiency.
Work with engineering to contribute to design reviews and efficient introduction of new products.
Continually review, develop and improve the production manufacturing processes.
Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with all Health & Safety legislation.
Ensure measures are taken to achieve cost reduction opportunities and reduce waste.
The Candidate
Proven experience managing production teams.
Understanding of lean methodologies – Kaizen, Materials Management, Process Improvement.
Experience developing and implementing Manufacturing systems.
Ability to organise and prioritise workloads.
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
A self-motivated individual with strong leadership ability.
Excellent attention to detail with a problem-solving mentality.
