39 hours per week with a 1pm finish on Friday. The post is also suitable for part-time or job share. Background Knight Electrical Switchgear is a specialist provider of electrical switchgear, control panels and related products. The company’s products are built in a dedicated factory in Donyatt and installed in hospitals, schools, naval bases, solar farms, EV charging stations, etc. throughout the UK. The company is successful, innovative and widely recognised as one of the foremost suppliers of its type in the UK. Responsibilities Daily management of the company’s production, goods-in, dispatch and stores. Working collaboratively with other departments to ensure on-time and on-budget product builds. Influencing others to ensure the manufacturing plan is up to date and achievable. Identifying and promoting safe and efficient working practices and improvement initiatives. Development, monitoring and motivation of 20+ staff. Leading at planning and department meetings. Implementing company policies and quality standards. Monthly audits. Vehicle fleet management. Oversight of factory maintenance tasks. Profile Experience of managing a team in a production, electrical or engineering environment. Understanding of manufacturing/assembly processes. Planning, delegation and time management skills. Ability and tenacity to pre-empt/overcome problems and find solutions. Negotiation skills and the ability to influence. Organised and efficient. Proficient in Microsoft Office and similar software. Experience of working within an ISO 9001 environment. Electrical/mechanical experience is an advantage but not a requirement.
