Production Manager

looking for a new challenge? Our leading food production company in Leicester is seeking a dynamic and proactive individual to take complete ownership of our manufacturing operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact, with full autonomy to drive process improvements and site development. The Role:

As the Production Manager, you will report directly to the Factory Manager and be responsible for: Overseeing the day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. Managing and developing shift teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Driving performance management, training, and development of production personnel. Ensuring compliance with health & safety, food safety, and customer specifications. Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance productivity and cost-efficiency. Leading and driving site projects and initiatives to optimise operations. Key Responsibilities:

Leadership of Area Managers and Supervisors, ensuring clear objectives and accountability. Performance management, training plans, and staff development. Implementation of quality control measures and adherence to compliance standards. Ensuring KPI targets for production, cost, safety, and customer service are met. Developing and executing strategies for continuous improvement and process optimisation. Managing health & safety procedures and ensuring a culture of zero accidents. What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in a senior production/operations role within a food manufacturing environment. Strong leadership skills with experience in team development and performance management. A hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example and drive operational excellence. Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and experience in cost optimisation. Strong understanding of food safety and compliance standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to analyse and report on performance data. IOSH Managing Safely and HACCP knowledge (desirable but not essential). Why Join Our Client?
