Production Managers opportunity in this large, established and successful subcontract precision engineering company. We are looking for an experienced engineer and manager who understands the detail and challenges of a CNC machine shop.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day production activities within the workshop to ensure efficient operations.
Manage and lead a team of skilled technicians and operators, fostering a productive and positive working environment.
Develop and implement production schedules to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Monitor and optimise CNC machining processes to ensure precision, efficiency, and quality.
Coordinate with engineering and design teams to translate project requirements into efficient production plans.
Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to increase productivity and reduce waste.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the workshop.
Maintain accurate production records and prepare detailed reports for senior management.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience as a Production Manager, with a strong background in CNC operations.
Exceptional leadership and man-management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
In-depth knowledge of workshop operations and production processes.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks efficiently.
Familiarity with safety protocols and standards in a workshop environment.
