We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Manager to take charge of production operations within our manufacturing facility. This hands-on role requires a proactive individual with a passion for optimising processes, leading teams, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have the ability to balance strategic oversight with direct involvement in production tasks, managing day-to-day operations while driving continuous improvements. This role is split between the office and the production floor, and we are looking for someone who is comfortable working in both environments to deliver results and maintain smooth, effective operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in production activities, including garden building and pergola installations, to address challenges directly.

Manage daily production activities, maintaining quality, timeliness, and safety standards while addressing deviations promptly.

Ensure proper maintenance of machinery, including repairs and upgrades to minimise downtime.

Oversee recruitment, on-boarding, and training, fostering continuous learning and development.

Enforce health and safety policies, conducting regular training and inductions to ensure compliance.

Lead and motivate the production team through regular briefings to review priorities, resolve issues, and align goals.

Establish and monitor quality control protocols, addressing issues as they arise.

Optimise materials, machinery, and manpower usage. Collaborate with suppliers for cost-effective sourcing.

Align production plans with company objectives, identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.

Enhance workflows, reduce waste, and improve efficiency using lean manufacturing principles.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Expertise in quality control and production management best practices.

Ability to optimise resources and processes to meet targets.

Stock Management.

Proven experience in Production or Operations Management within manufacturing, construction, or similar environments.

First aid training and a clean driver's license (preferred).

In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Strong leadership, team development, and problem-solving skills.
