Supervise the FLMs, giving direction, motivating, coaching, and counselling as necessary to encourage them to achieve their performance targets and enable them to conduct this coaching method with their own teams. People Management includes absence, conduct, performance, training & review periods. Identify, coach, and mentor individuals with the potential to work at a higher level and put in place plans to assist their personal development. Investigate process and quality issues, using problem-solving techniques, as they arise to understand the root cause and provide recommendations/solutions to prevent reoccurrence. Ensure that an effective communication process is in place between shifts to facilitate effective handovers and communications and to promote a 'one-team mentality' across all areas. Direct the Production teams in continuous improvement initiatives and various projects to deliver sustainable improvements in production performance. Ensure that Shift Huddles & Tier 1 meetings are conducted daily. Minimum Requirements:
Proven FMCG experience within Food Manufacturing ideally in a Shift Manager or Production Manager role. A strong character with excellent communication skills who can engage with their team to drive performance levels. Self-motivated and resilient with the ability to problem solve and make effective judgments, with a proactive rather than reactive approach and able to work cross-functionally. Lean Manufacturing experience desirable, with a good level of numeracy & IT skills; SAP experience would also be an advantage. Food Safety Level 3. IOSH safety certificate. Benefits:
