Key Responsibilities

Take the Lead:

Collaborate daily with team leaders to set and achieve ambitious production goals that support critical aerospace projects. Customer Focus:

Act as a key point of contact for customer priorities and queries, ensuring smooth communication and timely updates. Operational Command:

Oversee the management of subcontract repairs, internal reworks, and contract orders, keeping projects on schedule and within scope. On-Wing Excellence:

Coordinate and manage "on-wing" maintenance teams, ensuring swift responses to urgent Aircraft on Ground (AOG) requirements. Resource Mastery:

Conduct Work in Progress (WIP) reviews, monitor production timelines, and dynamically reallocate spares and resources to meet tight deadlines. Supply Chain Collaboration:

Work closely with the purchasing team to tackle supply challenges, ensuring parts and materials are ready when needed. Continuous Improvement:

Provide actionable feedback on process inefficiencies, driving initiatives that enhance workflow and performance. Team Empowerment:

Lead, inspire, and develop team leaders, fostering a high-performance culture and unlocking their full potential. Performance Monitoring:

Conduct performance reviews and offer constructive coaching to keep individuals and the team aligned with strategic objectives. Operational Efficiency:

Implement smart systems and procedures to optimise production efficiency while maintaining exceptional safety and quality standards. Policy & Reporting:

Shape departmental policies, analyse productivity data, and prepare detailed reports that keep stakeholders informed and projects on course.

What You'll Bring A-Level or equivalent qualification. Minimum of 2 years leadership experience in an aerospace engineering or aviation-related environment. A deep understanding of people management principles and workload planning to achieve production targets. Proficiency in relevant administrative systems and software applications. Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
