Our client is a specialist Manufacturer. Due to investment, they are now looking to recruit a Production Planner.

The Role

Creation and maintenance of BOM structures within SAP production orders for bespoke builds. Ordering of “One time Offer” materials. Management of partial and full release of production/works orders in line with material staging dates. Creation and release of stock transport orders between manufacturing areas. Support production/works order closure when technical issues arise within the SAP system. Master data creation and maintenance-creation and maintenance of SAP views. Management of deletion workflows to ensure master data on obsolete items is up to date. Periodic review of safety stock parameters, abnormal demand quantities, and lot size parameters. Maintenance of total replenishment lead times, supply chain type, and planning profile on materials. Primary responsibility for the replenishment of components which have a local stocking policy. Autonomy to maintain and adjust forecast data and master data. Placement of replenishment orders on internal and external suppliers. Provide general support to production helping to resolve booking issues and other ad-hoc requests. Representation of the planning department as project support for new product introductions, changes to existing product or changes to the manufacturing processes.

The Person

This role requires a strong understanding of SAP systems, production planning, and inventory management. It also requires excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with various teams and stakeholders. A level (or equivalent) business qualification is desirable or proven work experience in a similar role. Previous experience within a similar role. Knowledge and experience working with Supply Chain KPI's. IT skills i.e. MS Office. Customer orientated. Ability to organise and prioritise. Ability to work as part of a team. SAP working knowledge desirable. Capacity for analytical thinking. Comfortable providing feedback to suppliers. Committed to updating internal stakeholders with the latest part availability status.
