To provide daily planning of all production resources and capacity to meet customer demand.

KEY RESULT AREAS: Generation of day-to-day production schedules/plans optimizing production processes. Capacity planning effective to production deadlines identifying risks to project deadlines. Liaison with internal stakeholders - Sales, Engineering, Projects, Procurement etc. Analyse/monitor inventory levels. Problem solving and data analysis. Assisting departmental managers with capacity reports. Continuous improvement with regards to processes and the use of our ERP system. MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyse sales forecast changes and liaises with Production Manager to identify issues surrounding production of projects. Lead daily planning and manage activity exceptions. Support Manufacturing with make or buy decisions. Maintain work centre schedules to ensure proper job scheduling and capacity limitations are understood and communicated when necessary. Data Analysis of sales and production performance and establish Engineering, Production and Quality Control priorities. Develop planning processes to streamline manual development MRP/ PMRP planning systems. Provide guidance and training to other detail Planners/ leaders where necessary specifically on new techniques or process changes. Handle production control issues or concerns within the department. Attend production meetings. Work Health & Safety: Employees must take reasonable care of their own and others' health and safety at work. This requirement is detailed in legislation and there are penalties for noncompliance. All employees are required to comply with company policies, procedures and rules on health and safety. Employees will ensure that visitors under their supervision observe company procedures for visitor control and comply with all relevant occupational health and safety requirements. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS/PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: Highly Organised. Proven experience of production planning and scheduling in a manufacturing environment. Production engineering qualification. Strong work ethic, analytical and problem-solving skills are the main criteria for this role. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of Demand Planning and forecasting. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Navision or equivalent software. Previous production planning or production scheduling experience. ERP system experience around MRP/PMRP. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
