About The Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Production Planner to join our Skelmersdale Freshly Squeezed Juice team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and managing daily production plans based on customer forecasts to maximise plant efficiency. You'll work closely with various departments to ensure smooth production operations and meet customer demands.
Working Monday to Friday, 6am - 3pm (with some flexibility), you will be focused on detail and take full responsibility for the Production Plan. Key Responsibilities:
Create daily production plans using customer forecasts, confirming with daily orders pre-production.
Develop outload plans for the warehouse and ensure timely dispatch.
React to forecast changes and communicate updates to relevant teams.
Monitor long-range forecasts and identify capacity issues.
Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure efficient loading and collection processes.
Investigate production shortfalls and communicate solutions to customers.
Balance production lines to reduce changeovers and increase efficiency.
Amend sales and purchase orders as needed.
Produce monthly reports, analysing variances between actual sales and forecasts.
Collaborate with the Supply Chain Manager, Production, Planning, Commercial, and R&D teams to ensure smooth operations.
Publish work schedules to ensure customer orders are met on time and in full.
About You
Experience in planning and logistics, preferably within Fresh Produce, Food Production, or FMCG.
Proficient in IT systems and Microsoft Excel.
Familiarity with Sage System.
Strong communication, numerical, and literacy skills.
Excellent planning, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and use initiative.
Attention to detail and a flexible, self-motivated attitude.
