About the Role As a Production Shift Leader at our Kingsbury site, you will be fully trained to work with our specialised tools and machinery which we use to produce bricks ready for use in the construction industry. You will manage a shift of production operatives, leading them to achieve their production, quality and safety targets. You will also line manage a number of the Operators, providing them with technical expertise, supporting their personal development and any areas of improvement. Duties include: Plan and manage the team on a daily basis Address and report Health and Safety issues Ensure Health and Safety standards are achieved Monitor quality in all areas of production Monitor process control reports Plan to ensure all materials and equipment needed are available to run the shift for production Ensure that all paperwork is correctly filled in Work closely with the maintenance department Collaborate with shift leadership and plant management on all aspects of production Assist in the implementation of quality and environmental management Act as the first point of contact for your team members' sickness or absence Hours of Work:

6pm to 5pm, 4 on, 4 off shift pattern. About you You will have experience working as a Production Operative in a manufacturing environment and ideally will have experience with supervision/line management or have the right transferable skills to offer, such as: Coaching Addressing performance issues Motivating others Managing change Resource planning and organisation You will also demonstrate best practice in relation to health & safety standards and have experience with continuous improvement activities. You will also have: An adaptable style, comfortable managing change and adjusting priorities to help the factory achieve its goals Experience with 5s and Gemba duties Experience of writing detailed Risk Assessments Knowledge of SOPs and SWP Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) Confidence and a positive attitude Desirable:
