A leading manufacturing company in Cheddar is looking to appoint a new Production Supervisor as a part of their continued growth strategy.
Your new role As the Production Supervisor, you will be reporting to the Production Manager with a dotted reporting line to the Site General Manager. The business operates a traditional 40-hour working week, from 8am-5pm daily. Due to significant growth, an overtime allowance of 1.5x and 2x pay has been introduced. You will manage a team of up to 20 shop floor machinists, ensuring all products are manufactured to the correct specifications and delivered to OTIF KPI standards. You will also be included in the Continuous Improvement / OpEx strategy by leading projects and focusing on minimizing waste.
What you'll need to succeed To be successful in your application for this Production Supervisor vacancy, you must have a proven track record of working as a Shift Manager / Supervisor / Team Leader within a machine shop company. Ideally, you will have experience with products supplied to the Aerospace sector, but experience with machined products supplied to the Automotive, Heavy Engineering, or Defence sectors will also be considered favorably.
What you'll get in return As the Production Supervisor, you'll receive an annual salary of up to £35,000, dependent upon your experience. You will have the opportunity to conduct overtime, which is paid at 1.5x and 2x salary, depending on the time of the overtime. Additionally, you'll join the site bonus scheme and receive professional development investment.
