Avondale Foods is a leading food processing company of Fresh and Chilled products supplying leading retail businesses such as Marks & Spencer, Morrison’s, and Waitrose in the UK.
The purpose of this role is to support the management team towards achieving maximum production efficiency and product quality; to ensure adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene procedures; to control legal compliance and process systems. You will lead by example and ensure that you and your team are adhering to company policies and procedures in relation to Product Quality, Food Safety, and Integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Allocate and supervise staff to different lines to achieve overall production efficiency and ensure that production targets are met per order. Understand AX, Autocoding, and Sparc systems and utilize these in the department. Control packaging, labels, etc., and sign off required documents. Observe department stock rotation and control. Address quality/process issues. Ensure that production records are accurately completed. Sign off department-specific training. Investigate staff personnel issues at ground level such as timekeeping and work performance, and report any issues to the department management team. Ensure that appropriate Health and Safety, Food Safety, and Hygiene procedures are implemented at all times. Lead by example and ensure that you and your team are adhering to company policies and procedures in relation to Product Quality, Food Safety, and Integrity. Undertake other appropriate duties as deemed necessary within the scope of the role.
