Production Supervisor (Welding and Fabrication)
Hours of work: 6am - 4pm or 7am - 5pm. Permanent position, up to £50K a year, free parking, no weekend working or shift work. Location: Huddersfield. This role is with a growing, market-leading manufacturing business in the Huddersfield/Elland area of West Yorkshire. As the business continues its upward projection, they are looking for a Production Supervisor to support and contribute further to this growth. They operate in a clean, modern, and organized facility and pride themselves on the quality of bespoke goods, built and tested in-house to fulfill customer needs. Responsibilities: Ensure the smooth running of processes on a production floor whilst using their own skill sets. Help develop the team and hit production targets. Oversee routine production tasks, troubleshoot, and solve issues that arise on the production floor. Keep a safe and clean production workspace. Support peers in the supervisory team to deliver company policies and procedures in line with the company strategy, mission statement, and core values in a professional manner. Mentor and coach employees, encouraging continuous improvement within the team. Motivate team members. Ensure tasks are conducted efficiently and correctly by managing productive time of all team members. Work to eliminate non-productive time and unaccounted hours of the team to allow all resources and assets to be used efficiently and correctly. Report to management any issues arising or future identified issues. Assess learning and development requirements for team members. Maintain skills matrices for full team capabilities with a training plan to facilitate multi-skilling where possible. General Supervisor Duties:
