Production Supervisor on Nights
to ensure that processing, assembly and packing areas are managed in accordance with company H&S and technical policies. Training and supporting area Team Leaders. Ensure safe use of our facilities and equipment, while also ensuring a safe environment. Ensure the safety, legality, and quality of our products, while ensuring CCP’s are adhered to. Management of production staff across one facility. Attend daily and weekly meetings with Shift Manager to analyse previous day/week, identify areas of concern and report preventive measures. Ensure efficient labour usage to meet business targets, proactively manage labour and identify skills shortages. Liaise daily with Senior Supervisor on production targets and ensure an end of shift handover is completed. Be the first point of contact in designated area of responsibility. Ensure Time and attendance systems recorded hours are updated daily and registered hours match attendance. Understand and challenge area efficiencies, waste, H&S, and compliance. Attend taste panels and encourage reporting team to follow. Set example and enforce company policies and procedures. Ensure GMP standards and “clean as you go” policies are maintained throughout production areas. Production Supervisor deputises in Senior Supervisor absence. The role involves some manual handling and the ability to withstand working in cold storage conditions on a daily basis. The role requires an alert disposition, working in the vicinity of PPT and moving machinery. Who we are looking for: Experience in a ready-to-eat environment, preferably with prepared fresh produce. Experience of managing a team and providing coaching and support. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels. Self-organised approach and the ability to plan a workload. Resilient with a strong work ethic. High emotional intelligence, self-control (EI). Flexible approach and be willing to adapt ways of working to support team requirements. Proven time management skills and be accustomed to working with and meeting time critical deadlines. Ability to work well under pressure and proactively seek win/win solutions. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Excellent English skills, both written and spoken. Sunday to Wednesday, 18:30pm - 05:30am. Salary:
Starting at
£14.70
per hour (equivalent of
£33,600
per annum), rising through to
£15.57 , and then
£17.04
per hour after full training.
