Production Supervisor required in Telford, Shropshire
We are proud to be working with an Engineering business in Telford who are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join their team initially at a Supervisory level, but with a clear pathway to progress to a General Manager in the long term future when the current GM retires from the business.
We are looking for someone who has a proven background from within the Metal Finishing or Powder Coating industry who can join a small team and fit into the culture of the business seamlessly.
The working hours are day shifts Monday to Friday (with an early finish Friday): 39 hours per week, and the starting salary will be A GBP 30,000 per annum.
We are looking for someone who lives within a 30 minute commute of Telford, Shropshire.
What You Will Do
Oversee the production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery. Implement and monitor continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality. Lead, motivate, and develop the production team to achieve set objectives and maintain high morale. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment. Collaborate with other departments to resolve production issues and improve processes. Manage resources effectively, including materials and personnel, to meet production targets. What You Will Bring
A minimum education level of GCSE in Maths and English. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Experience in an engineering environment, with metal finishing experience considered a strong advantage. Numeracy and computer literacy, with a keen commercial awareness.
